Firstly I'm sorry because of the late entry; monday was on leave..got monday blues..
Sunday 11th April 2004, one of my best buddy (or buddete?) got married at Keramat. Sis NJ married a handsome gentlemanly guy from Kerala India. Went there with zane Jusco's turbo car with Karl.
From zovic and nago's house a fleet of zovic's, kamusdewan's, zane jusco's went to NJ's wedding; actually after receiving info from our spy there; she informed us tru sms the wedding will take place at 1:30 pm.
We went there, shaked her father's hand, and jokingly asked him "camne pak cik akad nikah tadi ok ker? " holding my thumbs up..he replied in the midst of the blazing speaker..(ooh mister DJ...no hindi please!!!!) mumbled something..what i can heard only "...lamaaaa jugaaklaah..."..I just smiled a bit..not understanding what he was saying..(mental note kena tanya ni cik nita..apo jadi)...
went to eat, shared a table with zovic, nago, zaini kuantan, zane jusco, karllube and imran. Around 1:30 the groom arrived, complete with ala amitabh bachan's dressing with his best man, the kompangs drumming..saw nj with her wedding dress accompanied by nita. NJ with her ala ct nurhaliza eyelashes looks superb.
Seeing those two mempelai and not forgetting the ever mengancam kak pengapit..my mind wonders to the days when i first meet NJ..
I'm not sure exactly how we meet, when i was first worked in ITD, she was already a senior. But i can say she was a serious and dedicated women commits bout her job..wow one margeret thatcher is is coming..i always mused to myself whenever saw her passed by.
My closed relationship with Nj started when we played pingpong together as a team and rival. Not one day gone by where we didnt faced each other in the fiercest game of ping pong..sister's level; actually my styled of ping pong hasnt improved till now, still in the women's league..but who could deny that powerful lashing of her right hand... i've been reduced to a mere budak kutip bola..instead of a player. such was the tremendous righthand lashes.
cipuuutsss....was her trademark...no where else can you find this.....and her frowned face..could make a shiny day to rain cats and dogs..heheh ciputss
However, if given a task, she'll transformed into a committeed and serious worker. In an argument she'll become a menacing tiger..meanwhile all the other member will suddenly transformed into small tiny ants..cipuuts..
Without her, there is no IOP for us last year..and the year before that...
The DJ suddenly recites few do'a for the well being and happiness of the groom and bride, ameen.
I do wish her well and happiness and she can suitably adjust her self with the new environment and new cultures that she'll encounter in India.
on the way back, with zane jusco's turbo charged car...guns and roses' civil war blazing tru the speaker...my mind keep on wonderin' would NJ be returning back to ITD or are her days are numbered?...
What ever it is..we will be missing you NJ and all the best on oyur future endeavour.
Let me start by saying i'm sorry again..because there is a possiblity that i might missed the wedding at Selayang this Sunday 18th April 2004, due to some other commitment ..
Last Sunday 18th April 2004, went for a relative's wedding (second cousin) at a Dewan in Cheras (near the Stadium Bola Cheras); a good decision to held the wedding inside a hall; raining heavily..the road was flooded; the road to tmn shamelin to MRR2 exit were filled with stranded cars.
So, on saturday, me, zovic and nago went to Seremban to attend the wedding of Kroll and his beautful wife wan zarina.
Arrived at about 1:00 pm. Greeted by Kroll's future mom and pa in law; went slowly and quietly to a vacant table..waa nasi berhidang..ni yg best ni!!!..
we ate quietly..almaklumler..member pengantin lelaki..but whatever it is..makan tetap makan..tambah 2 kali; same with our pilot zovic only nago tak tambah.. on diet maybe.
Kroll; what is so distinctive 'bout this man beside a good friend?..well my acquaintance with him started when we were at Pulau Pangkor IOP 2001 (?); as usual in all IOPs most staffs were assigned with a specific tasks like baggage safety, make sure staffs tak tertinggal bas etc; and our brother Kroll was assigned to care for Abg Sabri and family. Now this is a critical task looking at our activities and environment at pangkor. Abg Sabri and wife as we know it, might be having few difficulties to co-op with the nature (abg Sabri and wife are blind) and need constant attention for their needs.

I got this replies from a friend ...tq friend...
"I thought the same too. Abe Azhar is such a wonderful superior. He came to my office every morning to ask if i faced any problem. And on the day when mak nani went for EL where she was supposed to conduct a training on MSWord, Azhar came to jaa and asked for her opinion whether to cancel or to find a person to replace mak nani. Jaa answered "everything was under control and June is willing to replace mak nani for the training". Azhar agreed with her solution and offered his hands to jaa if she face any problem. Isn't that great, to have a boss like him?? ITD really worked peacefully for the whole week without any unnecessary panic situation which we normally had.
Zaney is very2 lucky to report directly under him. He is 90% sweet, 97% loving, 98% talented and 100% down to earth. What a waste if we lose him.
My magic word, instead of BENCI LA......., it is; SUKA LA...... and another strong point is, he speaks good English. He is the only Heads of Departments in ITD got an ESP for the English Test. "

And the freedom ends...I was informed thru sms that the director, a.d and hods will be touching tomorrow night; and so it ends all of our freedom and serenity in our department.
The irony thing is, when these bunch of looney characters werent here; things seem to be running smoothly; no major glitches! ha only a few minor problems..that can be taken care of ..often it arises because of the IDIOTIC state our users are in!!
But the thing is I failed to see the point that those looney characters saw in making the decision for those trip abroad! What an ineffective way to waste a lot of money!! What did they learnt from abroad?..hmm judging from their previous trip to land down under..nothing ..na daa..it was disguised under the pretext of training, when in fact it was a mere makan angin...
No..dont get me wrong, I aint a lil bit jealous or mad for not going even purposely rejected an offer to go to Bangkok last year; and probably this June to New Orleans; (hafta make new excuses for this one)..but i do believe this is a waste of time; when we have a lot of things to do at our hands. Gosh we need directions a clear cut direction, where this ship should go..our whole department carries the weight of bringing an ever dependable IT technology to our community.
But these bunch of nickompuus blah..the funny thing is they've got the guts to put these trip under the pretext of management visit?...what management visit?..why management visit?..if it is the technology that we want; we should send all these hard working techies to some proven and outstanding courses or research.
My stand is simple; The main focus we should concentrate is to further enhanced our technical skills; If these skills can be found overseas so be it, send our techies there, if it can be conducted here great, save a lot of money, many personnel can come. And not..i repeat not the management, what is it in the management?..what skill that they need to enhanced to?..go read some book maa..i always say..
It pisses me off when i see; those big headed managerial guys assuming world revolves around their domain. Started pointing fingers when things go wrong, go fly kite maa.
It got me thingking, not that I'm a Pak Lah's man or not; but i heard of this one story from http://joe-blogs.blogspot.com ..
"I heard a story last night about a certain golf game held recently in Johor. I was told that the crooked bridge developer arranged a game for 40 senior government officials where Pak Lah of course, was the Guest of Honour.
Normally, in these kinds of events, protocol requires the host to pay for all expenses. However, Pak Lah had other ideas. He insisted on paying for his suite and the green fees. Reportedly, he even signed a personal cheque for his expenses, refusing to accept anything from the host, including the well stocked goodies bag (which I was told included a phone capable PDA among other things).
I compliment Pak Lah on this "breach of protocol". I think he did the right thing in paying for his own expenses. I hope other civil servants will follow his lead."
I can bet your bottom dollars that these loonies character wont think twice taking lucratives presents.
But enough about those nickompuus, let talk about tranquility and peace...that we have.
Funny, yes we have few recieved few complains; but not critical ones..things went smoothly.
Yes we have an acting supervisor for the whole department; but being a techie man he is, he 's not panicked whenever problems occur..and a plus point..he knows how to be supportive, sporting and emphatically cares for his subordinates...we called him abe azhar..
during lunch we went for a Nasi Briyani Johor stalls near Tmn. Melawati; they have the best nasi briyani kambing..those 'kambing masak kurma' succulent and tastier meat.., a cold iced lemon tea and having all those with you friends.. what more could you ask for?..
and no ordinary friend mind you..these are friends from works, friends whom you shared most of the 24 hours time with. Friends you know who will stand with you thin and thick (heck we've been there)..friends who concerned about you, ..you and not bcause of your position etc..
In the afternoon, we were sitting around a friend of mine with a guitar; playing tunes with his own rendetion of meniti titian usang, Deep Purple's (song which i forgot the title; got something to do with New Orleans , jailed etc) , Broery's widuri which we sang together at the chorus, Made in Thailand which even nago did not realized (funny being a klantanese he is -guessed he must have heard it), Scorpion's smoke is goin down, apo nak di kato (of which jaizovic and nago sang), andre goh's tudung periuk, few 60's pop ye ye songs and ghazal instrumental.
Serenity...if you think about it; that's the department greatest strength and asset, the friendship it has; Friends who see you as who you are..and that my friend is what the loonies failed to see!
as i always say...lawan tetap lawan
